Amid the vibrant rhythm of Thảo Điền, Dì Mai has opened a new space to continue its story of Vietnamese cuisine.
Located at 50 Xuân Thủy, Dì Mai Thảo Điền introduces a Garden Kitchen & Bar concept with an open layout, abundant natural light, greenery and warm, natural materials. Compared with the brand’s previous locations, this new outpost feels more airy and relaxed, making it suited to both intimate meals and more formal gatherings.

Vietnamese flavours, from the dining table to the bar
Despite its new look, Dì Mai continues to keep Vietnamese cuisine at the heart of the experience.
Clay pots, bowls of soup and shared platters recall the familiar way Vietnamese families gather around the table and enjoy dishes together. In that sense, the spirit of “Taste Vietnam. Feel at Home.” is expressed not only through the food, but also through the sense of familiarity the restaurant aims to preserve.

One of the more notable additions is the bar. Its cocktail collection draws inspiration from familiar Vietnamese folk tales such as Ăn Khế Trả Vàng, Mai An Tiêm and Cây Tre Trăm Đốt, paired with local herbs and fruits. It is another way for Vietnamese cultural references to appear in the dining experience, this time through cocktails.
A beginning marked by “Khai Niêu”
Dì Mai Thảo Điền officially opened on 26 September with a “Khai Niêu” ceremony in place of a traditional ribbon-cutting.

In the garden setting, guests enjoyed food, drinks and the sounds of Bossa Nova and Jazz. The opening of the clay pot also captured something of the spirit of this new location: familiar elements of a Vietnamese dining table, reimagined in a more open and contemporary setting.
At Dì Mai Thảo Điền, “Taste Vietnam. Feel at Home.” now has a greener setting in which to continue its story.
