Each year, the 50 Best rankings are among the most anticipated lists in the global F&B industry. What began in 2002 with The World’s 50 Best Restaurants has since expanded to include bars and hotels, with rankings spanning both global and regional editions across Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and the Middle East and North Africa. Unlike many awards, venues cannot apply or nominate themselves. Instead, they are anonymously voted for by more than 1,120 members of the 50 Best Academy, a network of well travelled food critics, chefs, restaurateurs, and industry experts from around the world.
Ahead of the main awards ceremony, 50 Best also reveals its extended list, highlighting venues ranked from No.51 to No.100.
This year, Anan Saigon ranks No.86 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026 extended list.
In 2019, 50 Best also launched 50 Best Discovery, a global platform dedicated to travel and hospitality, featuring thousands of restaurants, bars, and hotels recommended by members of the 50 Best Academy, including many that have yet to appear in the main rankings. In 2026, 34 destinations across Vietnam are featured on the platform. Here are the names worth saving for your next dining, drinking, or travel experience.
Restaurants
Anan Saigon: Ranked No.86 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026 extended list, Anan Saigon has also held one Michelin star for four consecutive years, from 2023 to 2026. Led by chef Peter Cuong Franklin, the restaurant is known for reinterpreting Vietnamese street food through a contemporary culinary lens.
Akuna: Awarded one Michelin star for three consecutive years from 2024 to 2026, Akuna is located inside Le Méridien Saigon. Under the direction of acclaimed chef Sam Aisbett, the restaurant presents a progressive style of modern cuisine, combining Western techniques with Vietnamese ingredients.
Gia: Holding one Michelin star, Gia is led by chef Sam Tran and offers seasonal tasting menus inspired by traditional Vietnamese flavours, interpreted through a contemporary culinary perspective.
T.U.N.G Dining: Founded by chef Hoang Tung and recognised by the Michelin Guide, T.U.N.G Dining is known for its modern Nordic inspired approach, presented through an intimate tasting menu experience.
Quince Eatery Saigon: A modern European restaurant known for its distinctive wood fired cooking, Quince Eatery Saigon is recommended by the Michelin Guide and led by chef Julien Perraudin.
The Monkey Gallery Dining: The Monkey Gallery Dining explores contemporary Asian and European influences through imaginative dishes presented with an artistic sensibility. The restaurant has previously been included in the Michelin Selected list.
La Villa French Restaurant: Led by chef Thierry Mounon, La Villa offers classic French cuisine in an elegant and romantic setting, with a dining experience rooted in traditional French gastronomy.
Le Corto: Located in the heart of the city, Le Corto brings a contemporary bistro approach to French cuisine in a warm and refined setting. The restaurant was founded by chef Sakal Phoeung.
Sol Kitchen & Bar: Sol Kitchen & Bar brings the flavours of Latin America to Saigon, with a focus on distinctive grilled dishes under the direction of chef Adrian Chong Yen.
Yakiniku Yazawa Saigon: A premium Japanese yakiniku restaurant specialising in Wagyu beef, Yakiniku Yazawa Saigon offers an intimate and refined dining experience with a strong focus on ingredient quality.
La Maison 1888: Located at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, La Maison 1888 is a Michelin starred French fine dining destination that has previously collaborated with three Michelin starred chef Pierre Gagnaire.
Nén Restaurant: Based in Da Nang and founded by chef Summer Le, Nén presents contemporary Vietnamese fine dining through a philosophy centred on local ingredients, regional stories, and the flavours of Vietnam.

Stir Modern Classic Cocktail Bar: A bar featured in Asia’s 50 Best Bars, co founded by mixology talent Lam Duc Anh and specialising in modern cocktails with a strong Vietnamese cultural identity.

Layla – Eatery & Bar: Located inside an elegant old apartment building, this relaxed bar and eatery serves creative cocktails alongside appealing light bites.

Nê Cocktail Bar: Well known in the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list, it is the birthplace of the famous “Pho Cocktail”, created by none other than bartender Pham Tien Tiep.
Kumquat Tree Speakeasy Bar: A hidden bar combining traditional Eastern influences with modern touches, serving refined handcrafted cocktails.
